With a black tie dress code, a crowd of absolute legends, and a cocktail hour that oozed sophistication, this was one of those days that will stay with me forever.
Michael and Patrick’s Devon countryside wedding was a masterclass in combining elegance with pure, unfiltered fun. There’s something about a black tie wedding that instantly elevates the day – it creates an effortlessly glamorous atmosphere while still allowing for plenty of personality. And trust me, this wedding had personality in spades.
Michael and Patrick are two of the kindest, most genuine people you could hope to meet, and their wedding reflected exactly that. Their wedding party? An absolute force of nature – fun, stylish and belly laughs from start to finish, the kind of day that makes my job as a wedding photographer an absolute dream.
The speeches were pitch perfect, a gorgeous insight into Michael and Patrick’s lives, their incredible bond, and the love and support of their families. You could feel the warmth in the room, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Everywhere I turned, there was something happening, an impromptu dance-off in the hallway, cackles of laughter floating from another room, heartfelt embraces, and those tiny, unscripted and hilaroius moments that make weddings so incredible to capture.
