The South West Coast Path is a true gem and capturing its essence through a portrait session was an absolute pleasure. The client, Sasha Swire, wanted a set of images for her new book launch about this stunning location and her walk along the coastal path, Edgeland: A Slow Walk West by Sasha Swire.
I was thrilled to bring her vision to life through photography.
We chose Hartland Quay in North Devon for its rugged beauty and connection to the land and sea. As we wandered among the sea pinks and took in the breathtaking views, I couldn’t help but feel inspired by the natural beauty surrounding us.
It’s amazing how nature can evoke so many emotions and memories, and I hope that through these portraits, I was able to capture the essence of not just Sasha, but also the south west coast path. The way the sea meets the land, the vibrant colours of the flora and fauna, and the sense of peace and wonder that comes from being in such a beautiful place – all of these elements came together to create a truly unforgettable session.
